Toggl Turned Confused Visitors into Confident Users with Better Landing Pages

Toggl had great tools but no clear way to showcase them. We built product landing pages and a simple onboarding flow that boosted engagement and sign-ups.

Project Overview

Toggl is a SaaS company with three main tools: Toggl Track for time tracking, Toggl Plan for managing expenses, and Toggl Hire for easy hiring. Their platform worked well, but there was a problem. They didn’t have landing pages or an onboarding process to show people what each product could do. Because of that, a lot of potential users didn’t really know about the tools or how to start using them.

We worked with Toggl to build responsive product landing pages that made their products clear and easy to explore. The goal was simple: help visitors understand the tools, guide them through the sign-up process, and encourage them to request demos. With well-designed pages and a simple onboarding flow, we wanted to make sure people could see the value right away and feel confident to try the products.

The Challenge

Even though Toggl had great tools, most people didn’t see them. Without dedicated landing pages, visitors had no way to understand what each product offered or why they were useful. Important features and benefits were hidden, and that made it hard to convince someone to give the tools a try.

On top of that, there was no onboarding process. New users often got stuck figuring out how to sign up or how the tools worked. This slowed down growth because interested visitors couldn’t easily become actual users. The platform was strong, but without guidance, many people just left without exploring it fully. Toggl needed a website that could clearly explain the products and help users get started without confusion.

The Solution

We approached Toggl’s challenge with a detailed product landing page design and development strategy focused on user engagement and conversions.

First, we designed visually appealing  landing pages, including product pages, resource listings, and pricing pages in Figma. Each page was crafted to clearly communicate the products’ benefits while offering a smooth, intuitive navigation experience.

For development, we selected Webflow as the CMS due to its flexibility in combining responsive, clean coding with modern design capabilities. This choice ensured the website looked polished across devices and maintained fast performance.

Finally, we implemented a convenient onboarding process, allowing new users to quickly understand the product offerings, request demos, and sign up with minimal friction. By guiding visitors through a simplified onboarding flow, we helped Toggl convert interest into actionable engagement, ultimately supporting their business growth objectives.

The Result

After the new website went live, Toggl’s products became much easier to discover. Traffic to the product pages increased, with visitor engagement roughly doubling as people spent more time exploring the features and benefits.

The new onboarding process made a real difference. Sign-ups and demo requests jumped by around 2.5 times, as users now had a clear and simple path to get started. Visitors moved through the site more confidently, exploring each product without confusion, which also improved the overall conversion rate.

Overall, Toggl transformed from a functional platform that stayed mostly unseen to a website that clearly highlighted its products, guided new users effectively, and encouraged action. The combination of better visibility and smoother onboarding led to higher engagement, more demo requests, and a stronger potential customer base—all aligning perfectly with their growth goals.

Esha from Idea Fueled helped us with landing pages designs in Figma & then developing them in Webflow. We had quite a few revisions to get where we wanted, but Esha was responsive throughout, and I’m happy with the final product. Thanks!
