Richmond needed a website that was secure, mobile-friendly, and user-focused for donors, sponsors, and families. We built a responsive site with subtle animations, secure forms, and lead management to boost engagement and support.

Project Overview
Richmond Fellowship is a UK-based mental health charity with a facility in Bangalore, India. They provide rehabilitation programs to individuals coping with severe mental illness and operate on Therapeutic Community principles. Their services include ASHA Halfway Home, Jyoti Long Stay Home, and Chetana Day Care, offering therapy, vocational training, residential care, and rehabilitation programs.
The NGO approached us to redesign their website to be fully responsive and user-friendly, with the added goal of integrating donation and sponsorship forms. The new site aimed to make it easier for supporters to contribute while enhancing Richmond’s online presence. Working with Figma designs from Miti Design Labs, we developed a functional, intuitive website on the Bootstrap framework, ensuring that users on desktops, tablets, and mobiles could easily access vital information about the NGO’s services and contribute securely.

The Challenge
Redesigning Richmond’s website came with several important challenges that needed careful attention. The first was responsiveness across devices. The audience included donors, sponsors, and families seeking facility services, so the website had to work flawlessly on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. Every page needed to display information clearly, with layouts and content that adapted seamlessly to different screen sizes, ensuring no user felt lost or frustrated.
Another challenge was maintaining a delicate user experience with subtle animations. While animations were needed to guide users and highlight important interactions, the content involved sensitive topics around mental health and rehabilitation. It was essential that these visual elements enhanced the experience without overwhelming or distracting users.
A critical aspect of the website was the integration of secure donation and sponsorship forms. Users had to be able to contribute safely, choosing between one-time or ongoing support, with multiple payment options including bank transfer, UPI, and cheque. Ensuring the security of these financial transactions was paramount, as trust is crucial when handling sensitive donor information.
Finally, there was a need for efficient lead management. Capturing and storing information about potential donors and sponsors had to be done securely while keeping it easily accessible for the internal team to follow up. This was important to make sure no interested supporter was missed and that the NGO could maintain strong engagement with its audience.
The Solution
To help Richmond, we built a website that was simple, easy to use, and worked well on all devices, including desktop, tablet, and mobile, using the Bootstrap framework. We made sure important information about their rehabilitation programs, day-care facilities, and workshops was easy to find and read no matter what device people were using.
We also set up donation and sponsorship forms so visitors could give one-time or monthly support securely, using UPI, bank transfer, or cheque. Protecting users’ information was a top priority, so all payment options were safe and reliable.
To make managing supporters easier, we added a lead management system that stored donor and sponsor information safely and let the Richmond team access it quickly for follow-ups. We also worked on SEO and content setup, like meta tags, headings, image descriptions, and mobile-friendly pages, to help the website appear in search results.
Before launch, we tested everything carefully to make sure the website worked smoothly, animations were subtle and helpful, and the experience felt professional yet approachable for every visitor.
The Result
The redesigned Richmond website is now fully responsive and user-friendly, providing clear access to information across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
The integration of secure donation and sponsorship forms simplified the process, making it easy for supporters to contribute and choose between one-time or ongoing support. The lead management system ensured all potential donor and sponsor information was captured and accessible, improving follow-up efficiency.
Overall, the site now enhances Richmond’s online presence and community outreach, making it easier for supporters to engage with the NGO’s mission. Users can access vital information effortlessly, engage with the cause confidently, and contribute securely, helping Richmond expand its impact and reach a wider audience.
